Promissory Note and Deed of Trust

Today, I had a customer who purchased a house for her son and daughter-in-law. The purchase price was $330,800. In order to secure her interest in the house, she had me prepare a Promissory Note and Deed of Trust. This way she has a contract with her son and daughter-in-law to pay the mortgage, but it protects her interest in case for some reason they cannot pay the loan. Many parents do a similar thing not choose to have their kids enter an agreement to repay and secure it with a Deed of Trust. This is a pretty simple process. Any questions, let us know.
